Chief Brand Officer, Kate joined Creative Coverings with over 15 years experience in F&B, event design, hotel/casino catering sales, special events and convention services. In her current role, Kate oversees the growth of the rental and sales division, as well as brand integrity; specifically, through marketing efforts, customer relations, company trainings and overall client experience. Working closely with the design team to stay ahead of fashion and décor trends has contributed to the rapid and successful growth of the company. She was an integral part of Creative Coverings receiving Emerald Green Certification in 2012, giving them the distinct honor of being the only national linen company with this coveted eco-friendly designation.

Kate worked in the catering and convention industry in Western New York before moving to Las Vegas to work at the MGM Grand. In 2005 took on a new role with the MGM Mirage/Eldorado Corporation at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino where she was responsible for large-scale conventions and social catering events. She also assisted with the opening of the Reno Ballroom for the Tri-properties and the City of Reno. She has been a lecturer at the International School of Hospitality in Las Vegas for the last four years and receives rave reviews from both students and faculty alike.

As Chief Brand Officer, Kate helps represent Creative Coverings as NACE National Vice President and Social Media & Trend Expert. She is also an active member and past leader of ILEA, who is currently involved in collaborative efforts between organizations. She counts the ACCP, ARA and the EPA as additional industry organizations she participates in and she sits on the Advisory Board for the Student Event Planners Association.

She has been a featured educational speaker at Smart Meetings, Catersource, Event Solutions, the NACE Experience conference, ISES Eventworld, the ARA National Convention, PRSA and numerous organizational meetings around the country. In 2015 she was honored with the coveted Pacesetter Award from the Convention Industry Council (CIC) and an ISES Esprit Award. In 2016, she received the Event Solutions Spotlight Award for Innovation and was named as a Smart Meetings Visionary. She was also nominated as Nevada’s Saleswoman of the Year and honored as not only the Most Influential Person in Northern Nevada by the Top 100 Influencers, but as the “Person to Know” by the Reno Gazette Journal and one of the top 20 Under 40 by Special Event Magazine.
